Beware of Scams Impersonating GPO Employees

Scammers are sending fake emails claiming to be from the Government Publishing Office (GPO).

Why it matters: These messages deceive users into providing contract information or making payments, posing a significant risk to personal and organizational security.

• Identifying scams: Emails from non-GPO domains, such as gpogov.us, are fraudulent. GPO's legitimate domain ends with @gpo.gov.

• Action: Do not click on any links or provide information if you receive a suspicious email. Report it to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov.

The bottom line: If the email is not from an @gpo.gov address, it is fake.
